How to Make Extra Money when you Really Need It

Everyone is looking for a quick fix when it comes to how to make extra money. But, to really accomplish your financial goals it takes hard work, time and some creativity. Here are some ways to make extra money that my husband and I have found useful in creating extra cash to pay off our debt!

Step 1

Ask for more hours or a raise at work. This is the quickest way to get extra money.

*My husband and I both did this and now will be generating about 600 extra dollars a month. If you are good at your job and your employers like you, this will not harm you.
Step 2

Donate Plasma.

*You can do this 2 times a week for 20-30 dollars each time. The facility near my husband and I pays 30 dollars each donation. It is an extra $480 a month for us on a 4 week month and $600 on a 5 week month.
Step 3

Sign up for GPT sites online such as treasure trooper, cash crate and cash fusion. This is a great way to earn extra money.

*I have made 200.00 through GPT sites this month and hope to make more next month. Only one person can sign up per internet connection for these sites.
Step 4

Sign up for focus groups and clinical trials.
(unfortunately this is easier if you live by a big city)

*I check craigslist every day for these types of jobs. I also check http://findfocusgroups.com and

*I currently qualified for a sleep study for good sleepers that pays $450 dollars for three weeks. There is another study I passed the pre-screening trial for that pays $500 over 7 months.
Step 5

Sell your books on Amazon and your clutter on Ebay.

*I have to admit I haven't sold any of that clutter yet - though I should. But, I did post about 10 books on Amazon and was surprised how quickly people bought them up. I have made approx. 100.00 from it. Just make sure if you post on Amazon you are the lowest priced seller, even if it is only .10 lower.
Step 6

Adertise Yourself

*Use Craigslist, Facebook and any other free posting to advertise yourself. I am offering babysitting services (I work with kids w/ developmental delays and am def. qualified for babysitting) and my husband is offering personal training services as that is his service.

*Check Craigslist "gigs" section for people in your area who need odd jobs done, also the etc. section of Craigslist can be a good resource (if you can sort through the ads).

*Also, ask friends and family if they have any jobs they would be willing to pay you to do. My husband and I have made $200 from this enterprise.
Step 7

Take all the extra money you earn and deposit it right away to put it towards your financial goal. Feel pride in the fact that you earned extra money through hard work and motivation and are step by step reaching your goals.
