Step 1: Download ‘TMPGEnc-2.524 Free’ from the website www.download.com Or www.google.com
The Software is Free with some limitations. If you purchase it you can have more facilities in using it. Read the Home Page of the Software’s Web Site.

Step 2: Create a new folder say ‘My Movie’ in ‘My Documents’. Put all the ‘AVI’ files (Video Clips) which you want to convert into ‘Mpeg’ files (Movie Clips) in it along with ‘Audio’ files (Wave Sound).
Give ‘Video Clips’ and ‘Wave Sound’ files same serial numbers, starting with 01, 02, 03 and so on.

Step 3: Open ‘TMPEGEnc 2.524’ by double clicking its shortcut. A window will open. Click ‘OK’ button of this window. A new window ‘Project Wizard 1/5’ will open.
Select ‘Video-CD PAL’ if you desire to have it, otherwise, keep it as ‘Video-CD NTSC’. Click ‘Next’ button. A new window ‘Select source file’ will open. Look at all the bars, buttons and spaces.

Step 4: Click ‘Browse’ button of ‘Video File’. Search ‘My Movie’ folder in ‘My Documents’ and open ‘Video Clip’ 01. On opening of the file a small window ‘Judging field order’ will open showing moving blue band. After completion the file name will appear in front of the ‘Browse’ button.
(If window ‘Judging field order’ doesn’t open it means your ‘Video Clip’ is not prepared properly).
Click ‘Browse’ button of ‘Audio File’ and open ‘Wave Sound’ file 01. Its name will appear in front of the ‘Browse’ button.
Step5
Step 5: Click ‘Next’ button. A new window ‘Filter setting’ will open. Make no changes in it till you are conversant with the use of software.
Step6
Step 6: Click ‘Next’ button. A new window ‘Bitrates setting’ will open. Make no changes in it till you are conversant with the use of software.
Step7
Step 7: Click ‘Next’ button. A new window ‘Specifying output file name’ will open showing the name of output file.
If you have to encode only one file, then click ‘OK’. A small window ‘Create’ will open with the name of output file. On clicking ‘OK’ button, the encoding will start and file will be saved.
If you have to encode several files at a time then click square in front of ‘Create another project for batch coding’ and click ‘OK’ button. A small window ‘Create’ will open with the name of output file. On clicking ‘OK’ button of this window, the ‘Project Wizard 1/5’ window will open. Repeat the process till you are done with.
Step8
Step 8: When you have completed loading last file then click ‘Cancel’ button in the ‘Project Wizard 1/5’ window. A small window will open with words ‘Would you like to close this window and go back to main window?’ Click ‘Yes’ button.
A new window ‘Batch encode’ will open showing the files you have loaded for conversion. If you want to delete/add any file, you can do it here.
Step9
Step 9: Click ‘Run’ button which is at top right side. The encoding of files will start and ‘Movie Clips’ will be saved in ‘My Movie’ folder. You will also get information on completion of encoding.
Now click 'Movie Clips' and appreciate what a fine job you have done without spending a dime.
