Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Timer
  • Healthy snacks YOU LOVE
  • Measuring Equipments (Cups, Food Scale)
  • Self-control
Step1
Choose a few snacks you absolutely love that is healthy and relatively filling.
Step2

Get an estimate of the amount of calories you
need in a day. The Health Promotion Board has a great calculator to do that for you. (http://www.hpb.gov.sg/hpb/default.asp?pg_id=1652)

Take that number and subtract 300-500kcal from it, depending on how much weight you want to lose. Round that number up to the nearest thousand, take off the two zeros and that will be the number of parts you want to split your day into.
Step5
Eat every hour for that 10+ hours. This way, you will be eating all day long. Think about it. It takes you about 10-15 mins to chew and swallow the 100kcal food. By the time you finish, got distracted by work and errands. In less than 45 mins time you will be eating your next snack again. Not only you are eating the whole day, you are in fact boosting your pumping up your metabolism too! (it is scientifically proven that metabolism increases after intake of foods)

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose healthy foods - 100 calories of chips is not quite the same as 100 calories of blueberries!
  • No time for all these foods every hour? Combine a few quotas and treat yourself a nice lunch. (Be sensible!)
  • It's important to stop and wait until the next hour once you have finished what you got for this hour.
  • Every calorie counts! Walk whenever you can!
  • Learn to hate empty-calorie foods, such as soda, tea/coffee loaded with sugar and milk.
  • Try to stop your eating schedule 2-3 hours before bedtime.
  • When you are in doubt, always consult your doctor or a professional before starting any diet program.
