Things You'll Need:
- 1 knife
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 jalapeno (serranos are fine as a substitute)

Step 1
Into one container measure then pour the lemon juice, soy sauce, and the sugar.
Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved. -
Step 2
Cut the stem off of the jalapeno.
Then cut down the center length wise.
Then cut into 1/4 inch strips lengthwise.
Afterwards cut crosswise into 1/4 inch dice. -
Step 3
Combine the jalapenos and the mixture from step one.
Stir the mixture a little bit.
Then let the sauce sit in the refrigerator over night. -
Step 4
Then you can enjoy your sweet, spicy, sour ponzu sauce with shabu shabu, or fish.
There is a possibility that the sauce will break.
Not to worry there is nothing wrong with it.
Just give it a little stir till combined then you have your original product
