How to Decorate a Room With a New York Yankees Theme
The New York Yankees is one of the most famous baseball teams in all of sports. The team began as the Baltimore Orioles in Maryland in 1901, moved to New York in 1903 as the New York Highlanders and became the New York Yankees in 1913. They belong in the American League East Division, and play in the Bronx, New York. Any die-hard Yankee fan would love to have a room in his house dedicated to this accomplished team. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Paint the room in Yankee pinstripes. Look at a jersey or search online to get the color and design right.
-
2
Buy a replica championship banner and hang it from one of the walls of the room. The Yankees have won, by far, more World Series championships than any other team. Hanging one of these replica banners is one way to showcase the success the Yankees have enjoyed throughout the years.

3
Find a replica plaque of one of the retired Yankee greats and display it in the room. The original plaques are on exhibit at Monument Park, an outdoor museum at Yankee Stadium. They commemorate the careers of some of the greatest baseball players of all time. The easiest way to find replicas of these plaques is searching online.
-
4
Search for a signed baseball from your favorite Yankee player. Display the ball in a protective case in a prominent spot in the room.
-
5
Put a small shrine to Babe Ruth in your Yankees room. Any room dedicated to the Yankees must have at least an entire wall dedicated to arguably the greatest baseball player to ever live. Hang a Babe Ruth replica jersey on the wall next to a big Babe Ruth poster.
-
6
Buy a miniature replica of the original Yankee Stadium and place it on a shelf in your room. The new stadium was built near the original one in 2009, but fans won't forget the location of so much exciting history. A Yankees room would be incomplete with something honoring "The House That Ruth Built."
