It's something that every newly married couple must do--send out wedding thank you notes in a timely manner. There's simply no getting out of it.
However, by planning appropriately, you will be able to get these done quickly and get on with enjoying your life.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • thank you cards
  • pen
  • stamps
  1. Step 1

As you open each present or card, make a note of the person who gave you the gift and what they gave. This way, you'll have everything listed in one place and you can be sure that you don't forget anyone.

  2. Step 2

If you get gifts before the wedding, you can send your thank you note before the wedding. Make a point of writing the thank you note immediately after receiving the gift. This will help you to spread the writing out over a period of time.

  3. Step 3

Have one partner sit with the list of gifts and write the thank you note. The other partner should address the envelopes. If one person has bad handwriting, that person should be in charge of making the envelopes...and they can print them on a computer.

  4. Step 4

Send letters out as they are finished. You don't have to wait until they are all done.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you can, try to get them all finished on the plane ride to your honeymoon.
  • Don't send thank you notes by email or assume that a verbal thank you at the wedding is sufficient. These things are considered rude.
