Read on to learn an easy way to start seeds indoors during cold months. They will easily transplant into larger containers or into your garden later, once it's warmer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Moss
  • 2 egg crates
  • Vegetable or flower seeds

    How to Plant Seedlings in Moss and Egg Crates

  1. Step 1

    Place your egg crate on a table. Put moss into it, filling the entire
    crate.

  2. Step 2

    Sprinkle seeds on top of the moss.

  3. Step 3

    Water and keep moist until the replanting.

  4. Step 4

    When the seeds have sprouted, you can plant the entire egg crate in the ground, because cardboard is biodegradable. It's good for the soil.

Tips & Warnings
  • Continue to water.
  • Don't let the moss dry out.
  • Be careful not to damage new growth when transplanting.
