    How to Perform a Dumbbell Pullover

  1. Step 1

    Lie flat on an exercise bench. Press your head, torso, back and gluteal muscles against the bench.

  2. Step 2

    Your feet should be flat on the floor. Wrap one hand around a dumbbell and the other hand around the gripping hand. Lift the weight directly above your collarbone. Hold the dumbbell bar perpendicular to the floor.

  3. Step 3

    Keeping your arm straight slowly lower them till they are in line with your ears. Pause, then raise them to the starting position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use light weights until you learn the exercise.
  • Exhale on the exertion.
  • Do not lock your elbows at any time during the exercise.
