    Sign: FRUIT
    Hand shape: open right hand, thumb and pinkie touching
    Location: cheek
    Orientation: palm facing left
    Movement: move hand toward mouth

  2. Step 2

    Sign: ICE CREAM
    Hand shape: right hand in a fist
    Location: chin
    Orientation: palm facing left
    Movement: move hand toward mouth in an arc

  3. Step 3

    Sign: CHEESE
    Hand shape: left hand flat with fingers together, right hand with fingers together and curled toward palm
    Location: chest
    Orientation: palms facing each other
    Movement: move right hand over left in an arc

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to use the sign each time you use the word and before long your baby will be signing when she wants something.
