How to Confuse a Bandwagon Fan

Bandwagon fans can be very annoying for a person who has followed a team for his or her entire life. However, you can have fun with bandwagon fans by confusing them.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Tell a bandwagon fan wrong facts about the team’s history. For example, tell a bandwagon fan that a team won a championship in a different year than the team actually did win.

  2. Step 2

Give a bandwagon fan a jersey of a former player. These are relatively cheap to find and can be bought an outlet store. This is especially funny if the bandwagon fan is unaware that the player is no longer on the team.

  3. Step 3

Create a fake schedule for a bandwagon fan. The fan will be rather confused if he thinks his new favorite team is playing against New York when, in reality, the team is playing at Miami.

  4. Step 4

Watch a game with a bandwagon fan. During the game, tell the fan misinformation about certain players. If you’re watching a football game, for example, make up some odd fact about a running back fumbling the ball so many times per game.

  5. Step 5

If this particular bandwagon fan only watches a team during the playoffs, tell the fan misinformation about the team’s season. Tell him that the team has a different playoff seed or a completely different record, for example.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember that these should only be done in good humor. These may be great for April Fool’s Day.
