Tips for helping choose the right baby high chair

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    When shopping for a high chair for baby it is not important to go for one that is loaded with features. It doesn't have to be the fanciest one, all that matters is the overall performance. There are some features that are important to look for in a highchair, such as height adjustment, reclining seat, durability and ease of washing. Baby will be using the high chair for quit awhile and you want to make sure it is easy to take apart from time to time to give it a good cleaning.

    Look at the high chairs available and choose the one that you think is best suited for baby. Of course there are some that are way over priced that you may be drawn to, but just remember baby will be creating a nice mess all over it for you, so make sure it will be easy to clean. Her are some high chairs that either I have purchased for my three children or ones that others I know have purchased for theirs ...

  2. Step 2

    * FISHER-PRICE HEALTHY CARE HIGH CHAIR *

    Of all the high chairs this one has to be my personal favorite. I used this one with 2 of my children. It has seven different height adjustments and it reclines in case baby falls asleep while eating, you can easily recline it so baby is in a laying position. There are three different reclining positions. It folds easily for storage and you can take the tray apart easily for cleaning. It is also priced great at just under $100. The seat is easy to wipe clean as well.

    * CHICCO POLLY HIGH CHAIR *

    This high chair comes in beautiful soft colors. It folds nicely for storage and it has seven height adjustments and it reclines as well. There are three different reclining positions available, so in case you need to lay baby back it is easy to do so. The padding on the seat is easy to clean which is also great. Also the tray is easy to clean which is another plus. It cost just over $100.

  3. Step 3

    * PEG PEREGO - PRIMA PAPPA *

    This high chair is a great looking and desined one. It has a rocking base so you can sooth baby after she/he eats. It reclines to four different positions and has seven height adjustments. It comes in gorgeous colors and the padding is easy to wipe clean. It can be folded easily for storage as well. It costs just around $200.

    * NEST HIGH CHAIR *

    This one is a bit pricey, but I had to include it simply because I love the design. Costing just over $500 (I know, ouch!) it has a three in one type of design to grow with your baby. It comes in three delightful colors, eco black, white and orange. It is very modern looking and adds a touch of elegance to any dining room rather then a regular high chair. It has a five way safety harness that is machine washable and the seat itself is easy to clean. Your child can use this seat until they are six years old. It is not the traditional high chair that you are used to and it grows great with your child.

  4. Step 4

    When you go shopping for high chairs you will see many different styles and prices. So make sure that you pick a practical one that you and baby will enjoy. Keep in mind certain features that you would like and think will come in handy. It can be overwhelming when you see just how many are out there, so you can choose to do research online before entering the stores. Having so many to choose from make sure you stick to what you like the best and do not go over your budget.
