Step 1
Preheat your oven as soon as you can. You’ll be using your oven all day and you’ll need it to be ready as soon as possible.
-
Step 2
If you are cooking a large meat product such as a turkey or a large ham, cook that particular item early in the morning. Once it is finished, you can wrap the meat in aluminum foil so that it will stay warm.
-
Step 3
Buy a grill pan, and use that to cook smaller pieces of meat as well as vegetables. You could also use the grill pan as a method to keep cooked items warm.
-
Step 4
Use a microwave oven whenever possible. You can cook potatoes and vegetables in a microwave oven, for example. This is easy and will give you more room on your stove and in your oven.
-
Step 5
Turn your coffee maker on without putting any water into it. You can use your coffee maker to keep food items warm while you're using your stove and oven to cook. Make sure that you don’t put very heavy items onto your coffee maker, though.
-
Step 6
Use your oven for several different items. If necessary, you may need to buy an extra tray. You can use your oven to cook meat, vegetables and a bread item all at the same time.
-
Step 7
Make a dessert that you don’t have to bake. If your dessert is resting comfortably in your refrigerator, it won’t be taking up any space that you’ll need to cook your dinner.
-
Step 8
Keep your large meal simple. With an oven, a simple stove and a microwave, you could cook a turkey, potatoes of any kind, several vegetables, rolls and a cold dessert item, all in your small kitchen.
