    Moving To Do List

Make a list of all the things that you need to do before you move to your new residence. Consider things such as canceling utilities at your old home and connecting them at your new home. Make a date that you want to have these things done. Remember to give yourself--and the utility company--plenty of advance notice so that you don't run into the "full schedule" stress that happens when you wait until the last minute to do things.

While you are in the process of packing your possessions, get rid of those items that collected more than an inch of dust or that you will more than likely never use. Put these items in a garage-sale pile or donate them to a local goodwill store. Think of it as a few items less to have to unpack!

Organize your items while you pack. Pack like items with like items. For example, pack all your kitchen items together and all your cleaning items together.

Label your boxes with the room you will be putting the items in and the contents that the boxes contain. This will make unpacking easier.
