Men find themselves constantly on the go these days; from work to the gym, to a business meeting, maybe for dinner later, and so on. It's hard to figure out what to wear for one part of the day, never mind for numerous occasions in a jam-packed day. Here are some ideas for how to take an outfit from one part of the day to the next by dressing up and adding small details.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Your change of clothes, jacket and shoes will have to be stored in your office or vehicle. If you commute to work via public transportation, make your changes minimal and store in your briefcase or carry a small leather overnight bag if needed. Make the most of your situation and plans.

  2. Step 2

Go from work attire to nighttime-wear by changing your jacket and shoes. Depending on your plans, switch from work shoes to casual loafers or even more casual sneakers. Change to a sportscoat or even just remove your suit coat for your dinner plans.

  3. Step 3

To go from a more casual afternoon into a dressy evening, do just the opposite. Change from sneakers or sandals into dressier shoes. Change out of jeans or shorts into dress slacks for the evening. Or leave the jeans and switch from a T-shirt into a button-down dress shirt.

  4. Step 4

Little changes go a long way if you don't have time to change wardrobe. Remove a jacket and show off a nice dress shirt underneath. Roll up the sleeves of your shirt to go more casual. Unbutton a dress shirt, remove your tie or wear a different shirt underneath.

  5. Step 5

Add different accessories: add a hat, a scarf, a different watch, a sweater or sweatshirt, add a belt, and so on. Change little details to dress up your day-wear for the evening.

  6. Step 6

Pamper yourself for a minute while you are updating your clothes for evening. Fix your hair with a little water or hair gel. Moisturize your face and hands (offices are stuffy and dry). Crack your back. Wake yourself up physically for the next chapter of the evening.

  7. Step 7

Splash water on your face before to refresh yourself. Take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes. Do something to keep yourself grounded and yet still moving all day long. Your enthusiasm, confidence and refreshing attitude will help keep you looking good all day long.
