Plain water is a thing of the past.

Fill a pitcher a fifth to a quarter of the way with any combination of fresh or frozen fruit and fresh herbs if desired. Some combos to try:

    - Cantaloupe, pear with a tsp. of cinnamon
    - Watermelon and apple with mint
    - Strawberries, blueberries and honeydew with basil
    - Orange and pineapple with parsley

  2. Step 2

Add ice and fill the pitcher with water - either still or sparkling. Ice is not necessary if you use frozen fruit. Let sit for at least an hour in the fridge or at room temperature if you are space challenged in your fridge like me.

  3. Step 3

Pour into a glass and drink throughout the day. The fruit and herbs make the water flavorful and add their individual health benefits. For more ideas on the best herbs and fruit to address your concerns, check out a book on herbal remedies.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have fruit that is beginning to go soft, freeze it in a freezer bag and use to flavor and cool the water.
  • Cucumbers are a very refreshing water in the summer.
  • If you really want to indulge, float edible flowers on top of your glass or pitcher
