Everyone has there own cleaning techniques, speed-cleaning routines and tricks of the trade; however, have a read over some ideas that really simplify cleaning and that you may never have thought of yourself. Here are some helpful tips that might just make your cleaning life quicker and easier ...

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Line your fridge with paper towels to keep grime and food off the shelves. Replace the towels bi-weekly and you won't have to clean your fridge for months!
Step2
Use Swiffer products! If you run Swiffer Dry pads over your floors once or twice a week (depending on the room's use and daily traffic) and the Swiffer Duster over furniture, you will keep your house clean of dust bunnies and other allergens on a day-to-day basis and minimize the need for a heavy mopping and dusting.
Step3
Fill a medium sized glass bowl 3/4 full with straight ammonia and place in a COOL stove overnight. It will loosen the grease and grime of the stove and make it easier for you to clean or for your stove to self-clean the next day.
Step4
Use disinfectant wipes instead of sponges when cleaning your counter tops and in the bathroom. The wipes have been proven to kill germs and bacteria and also to prevent the spread of germs in your house when used regularly. Keep your kitchen and bathroom surfaces cleaner longer and also make cleaning easier for yourself by running these cloths over heavily used areas every few days.
Step5
Use facecloths instead of sponges and dish towels as potholders and rags. Cloths will clean your dishes and support holding hot items just as well as the alternatives, but they can also be cleaned more frequently and re-used. It's better for the environment and less messy for you.
Step6
Soap scum can be difficult in the shower and can build up over time--use car wax to easily clean that scum and mildew and also to prevent future build up. This will minimize your need to scrub the shower so that regular cleaning is quicker and easier.
Step7
Use a sticky lint-roller on cloth, small dry spills and furniture. If you don't have time to vacuum but want to clean pet hair and dust off the furniture, a lint roller is quick, easy and can be thrown away in a matter of minutes. Or if your 3-year-old has tracked some dirt on your rug, you can pick it up with the adhesive and a little pressure. Minimal time is required, and you won't have to vacuum for another day.
