Using common household items to ease toothache pain

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice
  • Clove oil
  • Cloves
  • Garlic
  1. Step 1

Brush and floss your teeth very well .... this may temporarily increase the pain of the toothache but is necessary for proper treatment.

  2. Step 2

Chew on whole cloves in the area of pain. The oil of the clove does a great job of numbing the area while its antibacterial properties will actually kill the infection. Better yet get your hands on some clove oil available at pharmacy's, health food stores etc. Use a q-tip to apply the oil to the area of pain. Follow with a bag of ice.

  3. Step 3

If your last resort is over the counter pain killers try using 1 Tylenol and 1 Motrin. The use of both of them work synergistic to kill the pain quite well.

Tips & Warnings
