Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Panic's (now free!) Audion converter
- a few minutes time
Step1
Go to http://www.panic.com/audion/download.html
Grab the proper version of Audion for your Mac - and get the full version - they've made it free now. Be sure to copy the registration code that used to cost $$.
Step2
Open the Audion .dmg file. Copy the program to your applications.
Now, open it, and under the dropdown menu "purchase" add in the copied registration code. You're ready to roll!
Step3
To convert files, simply select 'encode item...' in the 'tools' dropdown menu. You can the select the file (or shift-click' multiple files) and tell Audion "OK!"
The files will alnd in your 'Music' department of your hard drive. I tend to organize files for some audio projects in my 'Documents' folder, so I create a new folder with the project name and tag MP3s" and drag them in there.
Done - Works like a charm, and the quality is pretty good!
