How to Avoid Dyeing Your Eyelashes

Use beauty products to help avoid dyeing your eyelashes.

Many women dye their hair, whether they're covering up grays or changing their appearance entirely. However, a drastic dye job can alter your appearance too much, and your eyebrows and eyelashes will look unnatural. Eyelash tinting, or dyeing, is an option. But it is not the safest, or most practical, way to change the look of your eyelashes. Instead, use beauty tools and products to change your look.

Things You'll Need

• Eyelash curler
• Mascara
• Eyeliner
• Eye shadow
• Eye shadow brush

Instructions

1. Apply mascara, which is the cheapest, fastest way to change the color of your eyelashes. Choose a shade that brings out the color of your eyes and complements the color of your hair.

2. Curl your eyelashes. Place the curler close to your lash line, clamp it down and hold it there for about 20 seconds. If you want a deeper curl, hold the curler in front of a blow dryer on low heat for about 30 seconds.

3. Use eyeliner. Smudge it into your lash line so it appears to extend into the color of your eyelashes.

4. Brush on eye shadow with a fine-tip brush.

5. Visit a salon to get lash extensions. They add color to your lashes without permanently dyeing them.
