In most peoples' minds they view death as being final, however, with an open mind one can explore the possibility that when a loved one dies their spirit always lurks among us.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Open mind
  • Courage
  • Round table
  • Three people
  • White candle
  • Photo of the deceased

Calling on a Loved One

Step1
Light votive candles around the table. Place one big white candle in the middle of the table, with a photograph of the deceased. Hold hands with your seance partners. Say a heartfelt prayer with the deceased in mind. Call out their name with reverence.
Step2
Listen to your intuition--our loved ones talk to us through our spirit. Spirits of our loved ones often speak to us through flickering lights, fallen objects, a strong wind ushering through a room, or a sudden cold draft.
Step3
Spirits only pass through for a short while, so try to think of the important questions you want answers to. Most seances are used to give people hope, to let them know that, even though someone has passed on, they can still feel connected to them through thoughts and prayers.
Step4
A seance should last about 30 minutes, if there weren't any visible signs of your beloved reaching out to you, try not to despair. Sometimes loved ones speak to us through others. At a later time, a stranger may speak to you in terms only you and your deceased may understand.

Tips & Warnings

  • Drink water after your seance to restore depleted energy.
  • Conducting a seance is done for entertainment purposes only, so don't be stressed if your first seance is not successful.
  • Loved ones are present in everything we do, they watch over us constantly.
  • If you are a "scaredy-cat" they'll only contact you in a language that only you can understand. So keep your instincts sharp!
  • Please remember to turn off your candles when the seance has ended.
