How to correctly apply Sunless Tanner

Everybody wants that sun-kissed glow look without the orangy skin tone and streaks. Follow these steps to a fabulous tan!!

Things You’ll Need:

• Sunless tanning lotion
• shaver
• exfoliating bathwash or micro-derabrasion exfoliator
• somewhere private and comfortable
• maybe a another hand if you need help applying to your back

1. First things first! If you shave the same day AFTER you apply sunless tanner, it most likely to come dripping off of you in the shower. It's best to already be prepared shaven and exfoliated before you apply your tanning lotion (otherwise it's just a waste). Recommendation: for an exfoliator, a good ones I use are: got2be-in 2 spa "sugar kick body scrub" brown sugar, mango, and apricot flavor scrub. A good micro-dermabrasion set to use to cleanse your body super-smoothly-soft is: Loreal (body expertise) ReFinish- Chest, Arms, & Hands-Gentle Microdermabrasion Exfoliator. I found this Microdermabrasion set at my local supermarket, but you might have to log onto www.lorealrefinish.com to find it. They also sell a seperate face version.
2. After you have shaved and exfoliated its time for the fun part! This can get a little messy and if you aren't used to it, you might need another hand to help you apply. My recommendations for sunless tanner are: Estee Lauder (Sun Performance) Self Tan towlettes or the fabulous- Go Bronze Plus. The Bronzing sunless tanner immediately adds a tint of bronzing power for that sun-kissed glow. Another favorite is Clarins SPF15 Self Tanning Face and Body Creams. ATTENTION--DO NOT USE NEUTROGENA!!!!!!! You WILL cry. LOL! (you will). start applying the sunless tanner to wherever you want to start first. I start at the face and work my way down. You may do it differently. You shouldn't use too much beacuse if you lather on too much at one, it's more likely to be streaky than tan. So use care when rubbing this in. Make sure if you can't reach the area you have help.
3. Apply evenly where desired. Re-check to make sure no where was missed, and let dry for about 10 minutes (longer if you applied more). The more you apply, the darker and or streakier it might be. Make sure to take you time.
4. Once you feel like you are mostly dry, you should be able to reapply or put your clothes back on. Some sunless tanners do not show up on the skin right away, while bronzing tanners do not show full effects, but will show a shimmer at first. Reapply your gorgeous tan as needed!!! Congrats, you're now a tan goddess!

Tips & Warnings

• If you APPLIED TOO MUCH, you can even it out later by applying a little bit of lotion to the area and rubbing it in or by taking a shower the next day and exfoliationg the area without removing all the tanner.
• DO NOT USE NEUTROGENA!!! DO NOT USE SPRAY ON TANS- THEY ARE TOO HARD TO EVEN OUT.
