How to plan a memorable and 'mostly' stress free wedding.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • wedding planning book or just a plain notebook
  • you need to have a budget in mind so you know where to begin.
  • Open mind about everything!
  1. Step 1

You need to start writing down ideas, getting ideas for colors schemes or themes (if you want one), you need to have a few flexible dates.

  2. Step 2

You want to pick a few venues that are within you budget and weigh the options against each other. Also shop around for other things such as invitations, what you *need* to have vs. what you *want* to have.
You should book everything within a year if not before just so you can be sure that you get WHO you want WHEN you want.

  3. Step 3

Places like theknot.com and other wedding websites have great wedding planning checklists to use to keep you right on track.

  4. Step 4

Consider making a wedding website for you guests to visit. It should include at the least, where and when the wedding is and directions. At the most you can include biographies of you and your soon-to-be spouse, pictures of your wedding party, a little about them, gift registry information, travel and lodging accomodations and so on.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember, it's cheaper to get married in the 'off months'. Some vendors/venues will give you discounts for marrying in the off season so they have some business.
  • The sooner you get your booking done, the sooner you can relax or worry about smaller things.
  • I rated this article moderate, it can be easy for some but very challenging for others. It how you plan.
