How to Remedy Dry Skin

Every winter it happens. The plague of the dry skin. Because of constant hand-washings for flu-season and the cold weather chapping our skin, it’s nearly impossible to avoid it. But there is a simple way to remedy it and prevent it from coming back in full force.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Exfoliate. You want to get rid of the dry, dead skin, so exfoliating is necessary. Whether you use a special lotion or glove doesn’t matter as long as you get rid of it.
Step2
Cover the problem spots with petroleum jelly. It sounds gross, but it’s the most efficient way to moisturize those tough spots.
Step3
Cover those same spots with plastic wrap. This will keep the moisture in while keeping you from getting petroleum jelly all over everything. Leave them covered for a half hour.
Step4
Wipe it off and leave it be. Using a damp cloth should work just fine. Scrubbing it off in the shower isn’t recommended because you’ll probably scrub all the moisture away at the same time.
Step5
Repeat whenever necessary. Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize the skin on a regular basis to keep it healthy.
