Want a party that is fun and educational at the same time? Plan a thanksgiving party, just for kids! While they are playing and having a great time, sneak a little education into it too!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Feathers
  • Any kind of cake
  • Ice cream cones
  • Icing
  • Stapler and staples
  1. Step 1

Teach the kids about the pilgrims and the indians. Have them make indian headdresses out of craft paper. Cut a band wide enough for the heads (and staple the band to fit their head size). Then, let them decorate the band.

  2. Step 2

Add feathers to the inside of the band using the tape. Now, you have a headdress! Tell the story about how the indians helped the pilgrims.

  3. Step 3

Now, take the ice cream cones and give one to each of the kids. Turn them upside down where the tip sticks straight up. Let the kids decorate the cone with icing. (These are teepees!) Add a few to the cake for decoration! Let the kids know that this is what the indians lived in.

  4. Step 4

Now, cut the cake and have all the kids say what they are thankful for.
