How to Keep Ants Away

During the warm months of spring and summer, ants tend to make their way into homes and other buildings. The following steps will help keep ants outdoors and away from the interior of your home.

Things You’ll Need:

• Window cleaner
• Spray bottle
• Paper towels
• Ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks

1. Fill the spray bottle with window cleaner.
2. Locate the ant trail.
3. Spray the ants with the window cleaner. Wait a few minutes.
4. Wipe the window cleaner and dead ants up with the paper towels. Discard the towels.
5. Sprinkle the area where the ants were with ground cinnamon or broken cinnamon sticks.

• Be sure to completely saturate the ant trail with the window cleaner
