Things You'll Need:
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted softened butter

Step 1
Beat butter and sugars in bowl with a mixer until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg until blended; add vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Graudally add flour and beat until just smooth.

Shape dough into disc, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Roll dough to 3/8 inch thickness and use desired cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
