When you type a word or phrase you want to search for in the address bar, it will be searched for by your default Internet search service. Did you know you can change your default search engine? These steps will show you how.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer using Microsoft Windows
  1. Step 1

    Click "Start" and then click "Search."

  2. Step 2

    In the task pane click "Change Preferences."

  3. Step 3

    In the task pane, click "Change Internet Search Behavior."

  4. Step 4

    Under "Select the Default Search Engine" click on the name of the search engine service you want as your default.

  5. Step 5

    Click "OK."
