How to Make a Pottery Angel

There are many uses for a small clay pot, but one of the most fun is to transform it into an angel. Just follow the steps below and your clay pot will turn into a fun and creative pottery angel.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

• Terra-cotta clay pot
• Acrylic Paint
• Wooden Ball
• Brown plant moss
• Two mini heart-shaped wood twine wreaths
• Mini straw hat
• Hot glue gun

1. Choose an acrylic paint color for the angel's skirt. Paint the exterior of the clay pot your chosen color.
2. Choose an acrylic paint color for the angel's face. Paint the entire wooden ball this color.
3. Glue the wooden ball onto the flat bottom of the pot using the hot glue gun.
4. Hotglue the brown plant moss on to the top of the ball. Be creative, the moss will be the angel's hair.
5. Glue the hat onto the top of the hair using the hot glue gun.
6. Paint facial features onto the wooden ball.
7. Hot glue the wreaths onto the side of the pot that will be the angel's back. Glue them point to point to create wings.

Tips & Warnings

• You can substitute or add other materials as needed.
• Make sure the hot glue gun is warm enough before beginning the project.
• Be sure not to burn yourself on the hot glue gun.
