Bloating can happen to anyone at any time. It can be caused by a number of things that can easily be avoided but here are the three major causes of bloating not related to PMS.
Cut back on salty foods. Excess salt in the body can cause it to retain water and bloat.

Drink more water. The body will store extra water when it feels it's not getting enough. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to avoid your body going into this "starvation mode."

Figure out what foods give you gas and either avoid them or take a anti-gas solution such as Beano.
Tips & Warnings
Do not take diuretics to get rid of bloating. After your body has flushed the water, it will go into the starvation mode described in Step 2, making bloating even worse.
