Nothing is better than getting a Valentine's Day card that was made with true love and thought. A store-bought card can't even come close. Here is how to make your sweetie a card with your computer.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer and printer
  • Card stock
  • Clip art
  • Project software such as Microsoft Works
  1. Step 1

Create a project with the size of card you want to create. A normal sized card is around 5x7 inches.

  2. Step 2

Pick out some nice clip art for the front of your card. You can find some nice Valentine's images at Stockxchng.com, free, just make sure to check the Use Terms. An example of a nice full-page clip art image is above.

  3. Step 3

Think of a nice greeting to go on the front of the card that will go with a message on the inside. It can be something as simple as, "To my love," or something more complicated like the opening to a joke. To add the words you want, choose the text option in your software and type in you text.

  4. Step 4

Create another project the same size as the front of the card if your project software doesn't make folded cards where you can select the inside and add text.

  5. Step 5

Print the cards front first, then you will have to re-feed the card stock in a way that will print the inside in the right spot. It may take a few tries before you get it right. Some printers have a choice where you can get it to give you instructions on how to feed a two-sided page.

Tips & Warnings
  • Come up with images and text that shows the way you feel about the person.
  • You may want to think of a special memory, add an image and write about how it made you feel.
