Recipe makes four Deep Fried Mayonnaise Balls. Ever since the beginning of civilization, when people first craved mayonnaise, maybe even before that, the deep fried Mayonnaise ball has been in the collective sub-conscious of humanity. Now, at last, we can eat our dreams, and live as we ought!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 qt. Mayonnaise
  • 2 x Egg-whites
  • 1 x Slice of Sourdough Bread
  • 2 tsp. Corn Starch
  • 2 tsp. White Unbleached Flour
  • 1/2 qt. Canola Oil
Step1
Place Mayonnaise in freezer for two hours.
Step2
Remove crust from sourdough bread, then blend on HIGH for ten seconds.
Step3
Start heating oil on stove. You want the oil hot, but not smoking.
Step4
In a small bowl combine the egg-whites with the flour and corn starch. Mix lightly (really), then fold in breadcrumbs.
Step5
Remove Mayonnaise from freezer. Scoop a ball of Mayonnaise 1″ in diameter with a spoon. Roll the ball gently in the batter until covered.
Step6
Immediately drop the ball into hot oil with care. Remove your Deep Fried Mayonnaise Ball when golden-brown.
Step7
Serve hot with Secret Sauce.
Secret Sauce: 1 tbsp. Mayonnaise per 1 tsp. ketchup, mix well 'til monochrome.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't have "blender access" you may cut, or tear by hand, the bread into the smallest pieces you can.
  • Once Mayonnaise is removed from freezer make as soon as possible, as thawed Mayonnaise tends to separate.
  • Do not put hand in blender if "blender access" is available.
  • Do not put hand in oil, even if oil is not smoking.
