Stuffed mushrooms are a favorite at any party! Tasty big mushrooms stuffed with spicy Italian sausage and topped with melted cheese, or try spicy Monterrey Jack cheese to really complement the Italian sausages. Here's how to make them.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Big mushrooms
  • Italian sausages
  • Grated cheese
  1. Step 1

Choose big mushrooms and wash and set aside to dry. Remove stems. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an oven-safe pan and place mushrooms stem-side up in a single flat layer. (Do not use a cookie sheet as grease can accumulate from the cooking process and can burn you when removing from the oven.)

  2. Step 2

Brown ground Italian sausages in a frying pan. Drain any excess grease. Spoon a tablespoon of ground cooked sausage into the center of each mushroom.

  3. Step 3

Grate cheese and sprinkle over the layer of stuffed mushrooms. Place in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly browned.

  4. Step 4

Remove from oven and serve immediately while cheese is still warm and gooey. Separate mushrooms by cutting through cheese with a knife if necessary.
