    Things You'll Need

    • Newspaper
    • Construction paper
    • Craft paint
    • Toy trucks and cars
      • 1

Cover your work area with newspaper and look for a good spot on the floor or patio for this craft. Take a big piece of construction paper or poster board and set on newspaper.

Use an empty shoe box or paper plates to hold dollops of paint. Start with 3 colors. You can change colors as you go.

Let the kids roll their toy tucks and cars in the paint. Go ahead and get the wheels right into the paint; it will wash off easily afterwards. Then have the children roam and drive their toys all over the paper. It will be fun to see the different tracks that each toy makes and the kids will have a good time being allowed to get messy with their toys.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Add stop signs and a general store with crayons to the overall picture for a town or add sand dunes and mountains for an off-terrain effect to the picture.
