Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- a list of what you need
- fashion magazine
- an open mind
Step1
Go into your closet and look at what you need. Is there something that every time you go to get dressed you think, "I need that"? Put it on the list, in fact I keep a pad of paper in my closet for if this ever comes up, I keep a list of things I need to add to my wardrobe.
Step2
Write down what colors you already have in your closet so that it will be easy to coordinate...feel free to take pictures and keep them with you to remember. Also, notice which garments you have in what colors. Do you have olive pants, blue shirts, or a red skirt? This will help you choose garments to compliment your closet.
Step3
Look at your favorite fashion magazine, find things that you like and write those on your list as well. This will keep you on track with what is coming into style. One of the best is the list of what to keep, what to store, and what to get rid of.
Step4
Some hints...the "as is" section can be very useful.
1. If there is a button missing, see if there is one attached on the inside, this is a really easy fix.
2. If the zipper is broken or not working properly, a seamstress can replace it for a small fee, but the amount you will save is GREAT.
