save a Cell phone after getting it wet.

You will learn to save your cell phone after getting it wet (or dropping it in the toilet.)

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Put your wet cell phone on a towel on a counter. Open the cell phone and remove the battery.

  2. Step 2

Pour rubbing alcohol all over the phone on both sides and all over the battery.

  3. Step 3
    Not too close now!

    Not too close now!

Run the hair dryer over it for 15-20 minutes. Don't put the hair dryer to close or it will melt your screen. This process is not guaranteed but works most of the time. Sometimes your screen will not work but your phone still will. It's better than no phone at all. It will at least allow you to use it for a couple more months until you can afford a new one.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember not to close you want the warmth from the hair dryer to hit the phone but not overheat it.
  • Make sure you turn the phone over to get both sides, including the keys and.
  • Don't be afraid of using too much alcohol, the more the better.
  • These steps won't always work but it is worth the try since your phone won't work after it's wet anyway.
