How to Remove Paint Odor
Repainting a room adds new life to the look of a room, whether it be a bathroom, bedroom, den, office space or living room. Once you complete the renovation, you are likely to want to move right into the space, but the smell of the paint fumes will quickly dampen that desire. If you want or need to occupy a room that has recently been painted, attempt to remove the paint odor instead of waiting for the fumes to dissipate over time. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of water.

Add 2 tsp. of vanilla or peppermint extract to the water.

Place the bucket of water in the room you have just painted. As the water absorbs the paint smell, the extract will help to cover the remaining odors.

Tips & Warnings
Place a plate of sliced apples in the painted room. This will help to reduce the paint odor as well.
