Step1
Place eggs in single layer in saucepan.
Cover with at least one inch of cold water over tops of shells.
Cover pot with lid and bring to a boil over medium heat.
As soon as the water comes to a full boil, remove from heat and let stand.
Large hard-cooked eggs: let stand in hot water 15 to 17 minutes.
When cooked to desired level, drain off hot water.
Immediately cover with cold water and add a few ice cubes.
Hard-cooked eggs: let stand in cold water until completely cooled.
Dry off the cooled eggs and place back into the egg cartons and put back into the refrigerator overnight.
Step2
Break open your easter egg dye kit and follow the package directions, I will tell you about the PAAS egg dying kit as those are the most popular.
Get a cup out for every color tablet that is in the kit.
Then depending on what color results you are looking for:
For Ultra Vibrant Colored Eggs - add three tablespoons of vinegar to each tablet and let dissolve
For Traditional Colored Eggs - Add a tablet to three tablespoons of lemon juice and let dissolve
For Pastel Colored Eggs - Add a tablet to three tablespoons of water and when it's dissolved add a half a cup of water.
Step3
Bend the egg dipper and lower the egg into the dye, the longer the egg stays in the dye the darker the shade of the color. When you are satisfied with the color of the egg, then remove from the color and let dry. After you are finished with all the eggs and have dried them place them into the egg carton and back into the refrigerator, they are now ready!
