Washing your dog the usual way with soap and water can be a tough experience if your dog dislikes water. Cats are notorious for disliking water, unless you get them used to water from a young age. There is a way to give your dog or cat a dry bath without the use of water. Give your pet a dry bath in between wet shampoo baths or in place of them, especially if you have a cat (unless you like your skin in ribbons).

  1. Step 1

    Rub in baking soda into your pet's coat.

  2. Step 2

    Brush the coat with a pet brush or comb.

  3. Step 3

    Keep brushing until the baking soda looks as though it has disappeared. The baking soda will take the dirt and "refresh" your pet's coat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Washing your pet with a dry shampoo is a great way to clean him/her during the cold weather when it is just too uncomfortable for you pet to be wet.
