1. The Patterns - 3 Coin Strategy is based on conservative slot play and the understanding that big paydays are rare, but big loss days are also rare (typical gambler point of view). This method is a bit aggressive, as will be demonstrated.
2. WHAT TO DO: Choose a pattern before you start playing. A common sequence is 1-1-1-2-2-2-3-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1 (15 bets, 27 coins). Pick your favorite machine and go through the pattern. If, after you complete the sequence you have a profit, put the winnings in your pocket and go through the same pattern again. If you lose three consecutive series of 14 or more coins or lose 3 out of 4 series, then end the session and move on to a new machine. This method can easily be adapted to video slots that have bets per line from 1 to 20. Simply choose the pattern that fits your budget and mindset and go through the pattern.
3. POSITIVES OF THIS METHOD: The 3 Coin Strategy helps to limit and control play while theoretically minimizing losses and increasing wins in a conservative way.
   NEGATIVES OF THIS METHOD: It tends to be boring and requires too much thinking and concentration. It takes considerable discipline to stick to a fixed approach. It is also contrary to a typical player's approach to slot play (machine familiarity & game of choice).
