How to make steak marinade

This is the best steak marinade I've ever used hands down and it's easy to make.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Less sodium soy sauce
  • light corn syrup
  • pineapple juice
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • allspice
  • Corn starch
  • Water

Step1
Start out by combining a half gallon of less sodium soy sauce and a half gallon of corn syrup. Use a pot that is big enough to hold these ingredients and be no more then 3 quarters of the way full because when it boils it will boil over very quickly.
Step2
Add 2 cups of pineapple juice, 2 Tbsp garlic powder, 2 Tbsp onion powder, and 2 tsp of all spice and stir together. Then turn on high and bring to boil.
Step3
Once the marinade is boiling add a gallon of water mixed with 2 cups corn starch. Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it cool to atleast room temp if not cooler before using.

Tips & Warnings

  • This Marinade will work great for any cut of steak, however keep in mind that some steaks are certainly better then others. I like to use it on Ribeyes or NY strips.
  • If the marinade is made correctly and you give the steaks time to marinade for over night and cook them properly you shouldn't have any need for steak sauce.
  • I would suggest a good bold red wine for any steak dinner like a Merlot or a Cabernet.
  • Keep an eye on your marinade it will boil over Very fast once it starts to boil!!
  • Make sure to use Less sodium soy sauce it shouldn't be hard to find but I found that regular soy sauce makes it slightly salty. If you must use regular soy sauce it is ok just don't add any salt to season your steak.
