If you want to know about your own future, there are several tools that you can use. Crystal gazing, runes, and Tarot cards are among the most popular. The Magician is the second card of the major arcana, which is the 22 card set that makes up a part of the Tarot deck.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A Tarot deck
Step1
Take a long, long look at the Magician card. Study it.
Step2
Think about the basic meaning of the Magician, which is usually male power or energy. There are many variations on the meanings for this card, so choose what feels right to you.
Step3
Look at the imagery of the card, and try to see how that imagery might relate to the meaning. The Magician has tools... does that mean that the power of a man (or THIS man) is more physical than mental? Figure out what it means to you.
Step4
Use your own definitions to relate the Magician to the cards immediately around it in the reading.

Tips & Warnings

  • For example: If someone asks you a yes or no question, the answer with the Magician card will vary depending on the question. If the question is about a man, that is likely a positive sign.
  • Your answers and ideas may vary from what you read in books, and books may even contradict one another. Stick with what feels right to you.
