How to Make a Strawberry and Banana Smoothie
A strawberry and banana smoothie can be a healthy, low-fat, low-sugar dessert. This version will make 4 to 6 servings. The blended drink can be topped with full strawberries for an extra fruity taste. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 4 cups strawberries
- 1 large banana
- 3/4 cup low-fat cream cheese
- 1/4 tsp. gluten-free vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. sugar-free honey
- 2 or 3 medium-sized bowls
- Freezer space
- Blender or food processor
- Sharp knife

Wash and hull the strawberries. Place 4 to 5 sliced strawberries in the refrigerator. Peel and slice the banana. Place the remaining strawberry and banana slices in the freezer until frozen solid. This process will take about an hour.

Remove the frozen strawberries and bananas from the freezer. Place the frozen strawberries and bananas in the blender with the 3/4 cup of low-fat cream cheese, 1 tsp. of gluten free vanilla extract, and 1 tsp. of honey.

Process all of the ingredients in the blender on medium to high speed until they are well combined.

Tips & Warnings
Don't over process the frozen strawberries and bananas - you don't want it to be to runny.
