This article will teach you how to make a Strawberry and Banana Smoothie. It is a yummy healthy treat for you! This is a low-fat, low sugar dessert.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Cups Of Strawberries
  • 1 Large Banana
  • 3/4 Cup of Low Fat Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 Teaspoons of Gluten Free Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar Free Honey (Usually natural honey)
  • 2 or 3 Medium Size Bowls
  • Prep Time - One to Two Hours
  • Freezer space to Freeze Part of Strawberries and Banana
  • Blender or Food Processor
  • 1 Good Sharp Knife for Slicing Part of the Strawberries
  1. Step 1

    Wash and hull your strawberries, placing 4 to 5 sliced strawberries in the refrigerator. Peel and slice your banana. Place the remaining strawberry and banana slices in the freezer until frozen solid. This process will take about an hour.

  2. Step 2

    Just before serving your sweet treat - remove the frozen strawberries and bananas from the freezer. Place the frozen strawberries and bananas in the blender with the 3/4 cup of low-fat cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of gluten free vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of sugar free honey.

  3. Step 3

    Process in the blender on medium to high speed until well combined. Will make 4 to 6 servings and you can top these with the remaining strawberries and serve!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't over process the frozen strawberries and bananas - you don't want it to be to runny.
