How to Make Egyptian Musk Oil

Making your own fragrance is an economical way to create your own personal scent. Here are the steps for making your own Egyptian Musk Fragrance oil. This is an excellent Massage Oil!!!

Things You’ll Need:

• Dried Patchouli Leaves
• Wilted Rose Petals
• Glass canning jar with lid and ring, also known as a fruit or Mason jar
• Carrier Oil, such as a high quality Olive Oil or Sweet Almond Oil
• Vitamin E (One Softgel)
• Large Bowl or Pot filled 1/2 way with hot tap water.
• One Square of Cheesecloth
• Ribbon or String, 8-inch length
• Plastic Funnel
• Decorative Bottle
• Scissors
• Plate

1. Mason Jars Clean and dry the jar, lid and ring.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients. In the large bowl or pot, combine the wilted rose petals and the dried patchouli leaves.
3. Dried Rose Buds Loosely fill the jar with the mixture, to about an inch from the top.
4. Pour base oil over mixture.
5. Vitamin E Softgels With scissors, snip the Vitamin E softgel and squirt it into the jar.
   Discard the gel cap.
6. Put the rubber ring on the jar and secure the jar top.
7. Shake mixture.
8. Fill the large bowl, or pot with hot tap water.
9. Place Mason jar in water.
10. When the water has cooled, removed the jar and shake.
11. Place jar in a warm area and shake well several times a day for 30 days.
12. Wash and dry the decorative bottle and plastic funnel.
13. Line the funnel with the clean cheesecloth and place the funnel inside the decorative bottle.
14. Give the Mason jar a final shake and slowly pour the contents into the funnel, a little at a time.
15. When the funnel is filled with the petals and leaves, carefully squeeze the cheesecloth so that the oil flows into the decorative bottle.
16. Place the squeezed leaves and petals on the plate.
17. Replace the cheesecloth and again slowly pour the remaining oil into the decorative bottle.
18. When the funnel is filled with the petals and leaves, carefully squeeze the cheesecloth so that the oil flows into the decorative bottle. Place the cap on the bottle and you have just made your very own fragrance!
19. Tub Time! Now add the leaves and petals from the plate to the cheesecloth and tie tightly with the ribbon. Place the bath sachet in a plastic Ziploc bag and refrigerate. To use, just place the sachet in the bathtub and fill with water. You have created a soothing, aromatic bath for yourself (and your bathroom will smell wonderful also).
