Save and Print out the following picture to use as a guide to threading the machine bobbin.

  4. Step 4

Choose one of the methods to thread machine. The top diagram is if you use a separate spool of thread to wind the bobbin. The bottom diagram is if you already have the machine threaded and do not want to re-thread it.

  5. Step 5

    Method #1:
Run the thread from the spool through the Top Thread Guide [#1] and then diagonally down to the Thread Guide for Bobbin Winding [#40] and on to the bobbin [#41]. Starting from above the bobbin wind it a few times over the bobbin. Hold the end of the thread while you press down the foot control. Release the end as soon as it starts to wind. Fill until bobbin is almost full. Clip the thread.

  6. Step 6

    Method #2:
With the machine threaded grasp the thread in the needle and pull it across the machine and allow the thread to go through the Thread Guide for Bobbin Winding [#40] and on to the bobbin [#41]. Starting from above the bobbin wind it a few times over the bobbin. Hold the end of the thread while you press down the foot control. Release the end as soon as it starts to wind. Fill until bobbin is almost full. Clip the thread.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy a few extra bobbins and take a few minutes to fill them with basic colors ie: white, black, red, blue, etc. This will save time when you are in a hurry.

on 6/22/2009 It is absolutely imperative that the thread wound onto the bobbin is TIGHTLY wound. If you can 'indent' the thread in a fully wound bobin with your fingernai, it is TOO LOOSE! Tension problems will result. Likewise, do not wind onto a partly filled spool. I repair machines - my record is 18 different pieces of thread on one bobbin!
