As a nonprofit organization, SummerStage depends on contributions from its members. You can become a member at a number of levels to help support the arts in New York City. Read on to learn how to become a member of Central Park SummerStage.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Central Park SummerStage membership application
  • Adobe Acrobat or other PDF computer program
  • Printer with paper

Step1
Decide which level member you can afford to become, from the basic "Devotee", the mid-level "Director" and "Producer" to the extremely generous "Benefactor." When you choose one of the higher levels of membership, you are given free tickets to some of the benefit concerts and jazz festivals as well as commemorative T-shirts.
Step2
Log on to the Central Park SummerStage website to read about the membership levels (see Resources below). There are various benefits that you will receive when you become a member of the SummerStage, including reserved seating for the popular free performances.
Step3
Download the SummerStage membership form and print it out. Be sure you have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer, as the membership application is a pdf file.
Step4
Circle your choice of membership level after reading carefully about the benefits. Enclose a check made out to "City Parks Foundation" or include your credit card account number and expiration date if you choose to charge your membership fee.
Step5
Remember to sign your name on the membership form, especially if you are paying by credit card. Membership cards will be sent to you with your name on them after your form has been processed, so be sure your writing is legible.
Step6
Mail the completed City Park SummerStage membership application to the address listed on the form. If you have questions about the form or the various levels of membership, call the contact person listed on the form. She will be glad to assist you with this matter.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Central Park SummerStage membership form informs each tiered member how much of their contribution is tax-deductible. Be sure to get a receipt of your payment to keep with your tax records if you plan to take this one-time deduction.
