Your profile is the best way to let people know a little about you when you communicate with them in forums or through blogs. The website GolfLink allows all members to set up their profiles by providing a little golf-related information. You can share as little or as much about yourself as you want others to know. Read on to learn how to adjust your GolfLink profile.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the GolfLink website (see Resources below for a link).

  2. Step 2

Fill out the sign-in information on the homepage. You will need to provide the email address you used to create the account and your unique password.

  3. Step 3

Choose the "My Profile" tab to go to your personal information on the GolfLink site. You may have to scroll the web page to find the "My Profile" tab.

  4. Step 4

Adjust your avatar (the picture used to represent your online persona) by clicking the "Change Avatar" button underneath the list of your current information. You can select a new avatar from the list of pictures provided or upload a picture from your computer. Click the "Upload Custom Avatar" button to upload a new picture.

  7. Step 7

Read through the information you have changed to check your spelling and information.

  8. Step 8

Use the "Update" button at the bottom of the page to publish the changes made to your profile.

  9. Step 9

Look for the words "Your Profile Has Been Updated" to make sure your changes were made.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always click the "Sign Out" text link when you leave GolfLink, making sure your account is more secure.
  • If you don't have a GolfLink account, create one. It only takes a couple of minutes to create your new account.
  • Keep the handicap in your profile up to date by using the "My Toolkit" section of GolfLink to track your scores. You need to add a minimum of five rounds of golf under "My Stats" to create the handicap. Click the "Record a Round" button to insert golf scores.
  • If you allow your computer to keep track of your email address and password, remember that other people who use your computer can access the account by visiting GolfLink.
