Things You'll Need:
- Assorted papers
- Decorative scissors
- Acid-free glue sticks
- Double-sided sticky squares
- Basket or other container
- Gift certificate
-
Step 1
Snoop around in your scrapbooker's supply closet or other area where she keeps her scrapbooking supplies to see what she has. If you can manage to do this without her knowledge, you will be able to give Mother's Day gifts that will not duplicate her materials.
-
Step 2
Purchase scrapbook albums for your wife or mother to use for her next project. An album that measures 12 by 12 inches is a standard size, but there are smaller albums as well. If you notice that she consistently uses an album of a particular color, you may want to continue that trend when choosing Mother's Day gifts.
-
Step 3
Play it safe if you have no knowledge of scrapbooking and give a colorful assortment of paper that can be used to create scrapbook pages. Choose a few different palettes of color and varying sizes of card stock. Large craft stores will have a wide selection from which to choose.
-
Step 4
Put together a Mother's Day gift basket with some of the basic tools that scrapbookers use for their craft. Scissors that cut in scallops, zigzags or other designs, acid-free glue sticks and double-sticky squares that fasten pictures to the album pages are good ideas. Place everything in a pretty basket or another receptacle.
-
Step 5
Buy a package of photo paper for your scrapbooker's Mother's Day present. She can print out pictures from her computer that will be professional grade.
-
Step 6
Give your wife a certificate that entitles her to a block of free time. A few hours alone to work on her scrapbooks is one of the best gifts a mother can receive.
