How to Become an Electronics Maintenance Technician
An electronics maintenance technician is responsible for the repair, modification and maintenance of a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. He is required to perform tasks like wiring circuits, replacing components and repairing electronic devices. An electronic maintenance technician also performs test readings using several different instruments, including semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, signal generators and digital multimeters.

Verify that you meet the minimum requirements to become an electronics maintenance technician, which include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED and possessing a valid driver's license.

Study and earn an associate's degree in electronics or engineering technology.
