To make perfectly delicious pork ribs, the secret is tenting aluminum foil to keep the moisture sealed in while the ribs are cooking. The smell will make your mouth water, and the result will be juicy pork ribs that taste even better than they smell.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Smoked pork ribs
  • Aluminum foil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/3 cup wine vinegar
  • 1 ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Place a large sheet of foil into a baking pan and place the pork ribs, bone side down, on the foil. Pour 1/3 cup of water in the foil around the ribs.

  3. Step 3

Lay another layer of foil over the top, tenting the foil and sealing all four edges, creating a packet. Use a separate pan for each slab of smoked pork ribs.

  4. Step 4

Prepare the barbecue sauce while the pork ribs are baking. Mix together the ketchup, wine vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and onion powder.

  5. Step 5

Carefully remove the foil tent, but leave the bottom layer "cupped" to preserve the moisture. Brush the top side of the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.

  6. Step 6

Bake the pork ribs for one more hour uncovered and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with the barbecue sauce to create your own special sauce. Possible additions include beer, apple juice, whiskey, chili powder, mustard, honey, peppers, molasses, salsa or coffee.
