Money makes a great gift for any occasion, but there's no reason to spend even more of it to package your gift. Make and decorate your own money greeting card by using a simple template that can be changed to create a card for all occasions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with a rectangle-shaped piece of card stock, construction paper or any decorative paper available. Roll the paper into a tube shape folding each end.

  2. Step 2

Fold the paper by pressing down on the tube shape. The paper has two folds down creating a tri-fold card with three equal sections.

  3. Step 3

Cut two small diagonal slits near the bottom of the middle section of the card. This is to hold the money in place. Use a bill to check that your slits are the right size.

  4. Step 4

Close the flap to completely cover the money or fold to partially hide the money. To partially cover the money, cut a diagonal strip off the last section of the card that covers the entire bill. Leave the bottom half to fold over the gift, while the top half is removed revealing some of your gift.

  5. Step 5

Draw a picture, use stickers, decorate with glitter or design any kind of greeting you would like on the back of the first card section. Add words to the flap covering the money as well.

  6. Step 6

Crease each fold so that it is secured before placing your money gift in the slits and signing your greeting card.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you use a letter-size paper, the card will fit perfectly in a business envelope.
  • Your money card can be made horizontally, instead of vertically, using the same steps. With cash, you can cut an oval shape opening in the third flap to reveal the face on the bill.
